Why'd Buick have to make this car look so good in silver?

No Photoshop was involved in the production of these pictures; all it is is some in-camera trickery and a wierd flourescent filter I picked up for a tenner.

This Buick LeSabre is one of my neighbor's cars. They're grandparents, now, retired from work. Rarely driven, it sits outside their house in immaculate condition.I have absolutely no idea why I like it so much. Perhaps the rear wheel arches remind me of an E-type, or the grille of a Ferrari. Somehow, it epitomizes classic muscle while invoking the smooth lines of a European tailor-made classic.

I've been told the most likely cause for this is a head injury, not finding a style gem in the beigemobile rough.
