I wanted to put some Rubicon shocks on my Sport as they’re nicer shocks and are supposed to keep you from bouncing as much while shifting. I found a guy selling a full set of shocks and springs with only 10k mile s on them off a Rubicon Unlimited for only $40.
The Unlimiteds usually use taller springs on account of their heavier chassis, so I was expecting a bit of a lift. I ended up getting an extra 1.625" up front and 1.125" in the rear. Not bad for $40 and three hours. The Jeep rides much firmer now and is much less bouncy. The install wasn’t very easy. I have air tools, but didn’t really need them.
