In 1942 Winston Churchill visited Bermuda. He traveled aboard a Boeing 314 Clipper. He entered the cockpit of the plane smoking his signature cigar and asked if he could take the pilots seat. There are certain people who don't get told no and Churchill during WWII was one of them. The pilots let him take control and do some slight turns. Before I found this picture and read some more, I didn't know that, as Secretary of State during WWI, Churchill had taken some flying lessons. He was discouraged as he was too valuable tobe perusing such risky pursuits.
