Here's a fun one - VW Chicco

This was VW's first shot at a small city car, meant for Europe. About a foot shorter than the MKI Polo. Looks like a good candidate for a 'busa swap! Sadly, never produced. But they did revive the name and drop one of the "Cs" in 1992 for the VW Chico:

Another diminutive city car, this one featured a hybrid system consisting of a 34hp 2-cylinder gasoline engine and a 6kW electric induction motor good for about 9hp. They built 3 of these.
