Good morning everyone! I’ve had quite the night! The CEL turned off on the drive home from work last night. Aside from some sketchy performance (I had to be pedal to the floor just to maintain 60 mph), everything was almost normal. Even the engine itself purred like a kitten. I was about to call victory had the trip this morning gone well. Heck, the coolant level didn’t even change!
And well, my engine, not to be outdone by my optimism, decided to not only lose a cylinder, but lose it so hard that the engine stalled out twice this morning. On top of that, running performance was even worse than the first day the engine started doing all this. Of course, me driving on it is not making manners better. Like, literally to get any forward momentum, I have to floor it. And restarting the engine is a no go either, the shakes and misfires are now coming back only a couple minutes after restart. Oh, there’s a new code too, P0300...which well, Google reveals to be even more useless than P0303 with the definition of “misfires on random cylinder”.
I have a lot of work to do this weekend, and I’m not entirely confident about it.
