After 42 months and 52,000 miles, the original battery gave up the ghost on our 2013 Ouback. Besides fluids, filters, and some self-induced damage (fender dent, blown tire), this is the first part that I’ve bought for it. New cars these days tend to be pretty worry-free for the first 60,000 miles across the board, but I’ve been seriously impressed with this guy and very satisfied with the purchase. I was hoping to track down a nice Optima, Deka, or OEM Johnson Controls battery, but it stranded my wife at 8:30 PM. So I ran to the nearest AutoZone and got a Duralast Gold. I’ve heard they aren’t great, but the Gold has a 5-year warranty, so hopefully I can forget about it for a few years.
