It’s not the transmission. It’s the clutch. It’s not quite fully disengaging. It can idle in gear, but the tell was a lurch on startup in gear. If this was a Miata I’d have the slave cylinder swapped out in the time it takes to make this post. However GM in their infinite wisdom has the cruze’s slave inside the transmission, so it'll have to be dropped. Yay clutch job. *grumble*
