The girlfriend has a new Nissan Sentra with a CVT transmission. Drove it for the first time the other day, roughly 55 miles each way. Mind you, I daily drive a 5 speed manual vehicle, so this was an odd adjustment.
The CVT is definitely really good for fuel economy, this particular car is almost ridiculous with how good efficiency is. The issue is the way it feels, it feels like a slipping clutch. It’s just very unsettling as a car enthusiast.
Anyone else really dislike a CVT? On a side note, I was slightly taken aside with how good this car steered hah.
