So I was driving to campus in my Panther (alone), with the traction control off, and absolutely no weight in the back (not even the spare tire). It's raining. I approach this corner too quickly because the light was green.

It's raining. I get half way around the corner and hear that all too familiar sound of the tires losing traction, engine RPM climbs rapidly. I don't think much of it because if you own a Panther with the 16" inch wheels, you know it does this constantly with the T/C off. However, something I have never experienced before, the car fishtails and would have span out of control had I not corrected and avoided the curb by a few meters.

Injuring only my pride, I went on my way as my heart began to pound after the fact. I turned the traction control back on.
