Mrs. Shoe Pilot’s Honda wagon is up on the healing bench (lift) getting a rear suspension refresh. The car is 20 years old and all the rubber bits in the back are getting replaced with new ones. For any particular trailing/control arm, the replaceable parts might be $20 and a whole new arm with the bushings/ball joint already in it is $25, so I took the lazy way out and paid the extra couple bucks for all new control arms. The downside is that I don’t have an excuse to go buy a press now.

Same story on the shocks. $85 bucks gets you the strut cartridge and $92 gets you a ready to install assembly with a new spring and all the other stuff.
