Looking to pick up an Olympus OM-D E-M10 and a few lenses for some upcoming travel and just to have a decent camera. It’s been years since photography was one of my side hobbies so this is the first camera purchase in years (about 12 or so). Back in the day when I had SLR’s I had UV and Polarizing filters...

It’s my understanding that nowadays, they may not be as necessary. I was still thinking of getting a polarized filter, possibly a UV filter (if for nothing else than to protect the lenses). So my question is do you see a benefit of having them, or any necessity in having them - or could I forgo them?

Thanks!
