Visited Philly last weekend and went aboard the cruiser Olympia. Launched in 1892, Olympia is the oldest steel warship afloat in the world. And I got to play with the deck guns, which date to 1917. Pretty sweet.
Next to her is the submarine Becuna (SS-319), which was built in 1944 and completed five wartime patrols in the Pacific Ocean. I got to tour her too. Due to the crappy weather, I was the only one aboard, which was surreal. Awesome, but surreal.
