He upgraded his gaming rig and gave me his old internals. So my desktop has gone from:

-ASUS M3N72-D motherboard

-AMD Phenom X4 9850 2.5GHz quadcore processor

-6GB of DD2 1066MHz RAM to an ASUS

-ASUS P6TD Deluxe motherboard

-Intel Core i7 930 2.8GHz Quadcore processor (overclocks like a boss, btw)

-6GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM

I'm still using my old ATI Radeon HD6770 graphics card, but he also gave me his old ATI Sapphire 6950 graphics card. I can't use the 6950, however, until I can afford a bigger power supply (I only have a 550watt right now), which obviously will have to wait until after I find work and pay rent.

But anyway, I'm happy about the free upgrade. I have a friend looking to buy my old internals for a couple hundred bucks, which will help pay rent this month. I also just applied at a "Tire Kingdom" just up the block, so fingers crossed on that.

The bad news? When I installed the new motherboard and adjusted the CMOS in the BIOS, I forgot to set it from 'AM' to 'PM', which means every post I've made on Oppo since upgrading hasn't shown up. So I'll have to go back and repost those now that the time and date are correct. Oops... =\
