The Liberty Bridge here in Pittsburgh has been undergoing a major rehabilitation, including media-blasting and repainting steel, and demolishing and replacing the bridge deck. Tarps have been hung to keep this material out of the river, and for reasons as yet unclear one of them caught fire this afternoon. This was, as you can imagine, wildly entertaining for those of us with a view of the bridge:

The fire was out within an hour, and no one was hurt, but the bridge and associated tunnel are closed indefinitely until the damages can be assessed.
