In celebration of me finding what happened to the pictures (found my old Ipod) here is the story of my first car: a 1986 Porsche 944 NA
My Porsche overheated the other day when I went to Dunkin Donuts, like it KNEW. So, I saved one of the Timbits Clown Shoe Pilot brought back from Canada as a peace offering.
I did have only one fan not working on the 944. No big deal—it did the job unless I had to be stopped for a long time somewhere. Now I have two fans that don’t work. Both fans. All the fans on the car.
I’m thinking 944/ 924, also the paint seems to be Guards Red, the wheels could be Fuchs but I’m not quite sure.
Sorry for the light reflection I wanted you all to be able to read the text.
Since Mr.Regular decided to be the most hated man on Oppo, here a lovely vehicle to go against him. 1987 Porsche 944 “Race/Rally Car”
The year is 1990, and you have three coupés from Volkswagen AG to choose from.
So I was out lapping the old hooptie last night at a local track. I was on a cool down lap about to come in because my brakes felt like they were a few laps from completely overheating. Then a couple of 944s came out, one n/a and one turbo... I had to give chase and see if I could get by that turbo...
Saw this as I came to a stop going home.
About a week ago, I got an unexpected early morning message from a man I’d spoken to, but never met in person.
I didn’t know you could still get Porsche 968s for as little as this. You see 944s all the time but I can’t remember the last time I saw a 968.
It finally happened this Saturday. I’ve been running on adrenaline all weekend. For an idea of how the this weekend went.
Neighbor is letting me drive this beautiful 944 for the weekend. He’s the first owner and won it brand new in a radio competition. Car is completely stock. It’s not fast but lots of fun. AMA.
My friend and I got together for 944 shenanigans and Chinese takeout last night. And we did a little exhaust comparison between my stock exhaust, and his Flowmaster 40 Series muffler. I’ll be taking his muffler when he hacks it off for a straight through exhaust!
It comes with its own YouTube video...
I have some questions:
While I’m a big fan of S2 bodywork, I really prefer the interiors of early 944s
Yep. That’s a 944 Shooting Brake.
Took the watch off while I was eating, laid it next to my keys, and decided that this was a lovely time for a shot. The iPhone6 camera continues to surprise me with the quality of it’s pictures. That and after a few tips from Kevin McCauley, I feel confident using it as my only camera when I travel light.
