It’s been 3 years and 2 seasons of autocross and finishes no better than 2nd place...but now it’s finally over! I ran a 39.612 right after the then-leading ES-leader set a fast 39.9xx. This white-knuckled run scored me my first class win in the Miata, so now I finally get my blue celebration cup to complete the set!

Next Sunday is the second round of SCCA's South Carolina Region autocross championship at the Michelin Proving Ground in Mountville, SC. I had to skip the first round due to college exams but I'm planning on making up lost ground with my Miata and it's newly-installed front sway bar! It's also my first autocross…
It's 6:22 am, I got about 5 hours of sleep, I leave in 30 minutes for a rainy autox'ing day at Darlington. At least this weather will force the Miata on slicks to run his normal tires.
The next event is on July 14th at Darlington! Registration is at motorsportreg and you'll see me there as I give my NB Miata its first taste of Darlington's front lot. The picture was taken last year, that's my now-gone HHR along with a crazy CRX known as Fireant.
(I came up with like, twenty different titles for this but I think this one fits.)
Due to my stupidity, I didn't take any pictures but luckily I'm able to find pictures off of the region's facebook from other photographers. Also, there was a NASCAR race in Darlington right after the autocross so I was in a rush for most of the day.
Just a reminder to anyone in the Carolinas and northeastern parts of Georgia, the South Carolina Region of SCCA is holding an autocross at the Florence Civic Center on May 11th.
