I knew I had damaged a link after a really bad me versus gravity crash last week. I found it today. Thankfully I was just riding with the kids around the neighborhood when it let go. The walk of shame back to the house wasn’t long.
Do you use a speedometer app and if so which one?
Got new lights for my bike since I’ve started riding around the neighborhood at night for some basic exercise. They work pretty well. I’ve already forgotten what the brand is, but they were $30 at Wal-Mart. A little pricier than the other lights they had, but I consider them a good investment.
This is on Ontario’s highway 417 in Ottawa. This breaks at least two sections of the Ontario’s traffic law — that bicycles aren’t permitted on highways like this (for obvious reasons) and that you don’t ride against traffic (for equally obvious reasons).
Took about 4 hours to get everything together and working in sync. I end up with a beautiful carbon-steel frame and some delicious 11 speed goodness.
My felt has a new groupset all together... I did not go for Di2..and it has become an climb hungry build with all new mechanical stuff.... My Felt Z70 no longer is a hooptie on junior gearing.
I’m blowing off work this morning to go ride while the trails are mostly empty. Anyone else on a 0 HP two-wheeler today? ETA: Driving home in something with more pedals than my bike is the cherry on top.
The 2016 Tour de Qinghai Lake in China got off to a bad start as someone who either was supremely oblivious to his surroundings or exhibiting suicidal tendencies decided to stroll across the street and into the sprinting peloton. When a walking man meets a hundred or so cyclists doing about 75 km/h, things don’t end…
Or perhaps dadlopnik. Neighbor found a couple of girls bikes on the side of the road. Gave them to us since they were in working condition and we had a girl.
This is on a trail I regularly mountain bike on, although it’s really a hiking trail. But it’s excellent, beautiful, and easily accessible riding right from my house. This is probably 40 minutes of riding up a mountain to get to this spot. Then it’s all downhill. I did it today in a total puddle of sweat, but it was a…
All of the #twoWheelsGood, none of the #twoWheelsBad.
We are currently watching the Red Balloon.
Wilier Triestina Zero.6. 200 made, 680g carbon frame with copper highlights, €10.000.
For those of you who are not aware, Kalamazoo, MI was impacted by a tragedy last night. A driver of a Chevy Silverado 2500 hit 9 cyclists, killing 5 and then fled the scene. Follow the link to updating coverage.
I actually this exact bottom bracket on my Felt...and it sucks. It lasted me several months and got toasted. A new Shimano Hollowtech BB with the Di2 build is coming....
I’m selling the Bianchi and possibly my Focus mtb to fund a more bulletproof road bike. I’m going to upgrading my road bike to either 105 components OR an mix of Ultegra Di2 and 105 componentry. What does Oppo think? (Di2 is electronic shifting where it uses motorized actuators instead of cables..look it up. It’s…
Saturday I went to a bike swap because my buddy was looking for a new mountain bike. The bike swap was a bust, but on the way out we stopped at a bike shop on a whim. We both ended up with new bikes, and I hadn’t even intended to buy anything.
Good situational awareness with the shoulder checks though.
