200+ human-powered vehicles on one track, four classes (basically, adults, all under 19, all under 16, and an Australian year 6/7 (~11-13 years old I think?) class) with some sub-classes. For 24 hours.
Carbon fiber, 22 forward gears, hydraulic disc brakes, very fancy.
After juggling two canvas bags of a semi-unorganized and cluttered state for the past two years or so, I’ve finally gotten the bike tools under control and it feels so nice.
It looks like you can shrink-wrap yourself in this. I absolutely love it. It’s just a few LED strips away from being a TRON bike.
A Mototracer. Had seen an article on it at proto stage a few years ago. Apparently they exist now. It had a Swiss plate.
Well at least there is one other idiot out here who isn’t letting a 112 degree heat index stop them from getting their mountain bike ride in. Hopefully I don’t run across them dead on he trail.
Got my first road bike today, a 2018 Trek Domane SL 5. Compared to my old bike, its stupid fast and light. It’s amazing how much 30+ years of bike design and materials advancements makes. The shifting is still pretty crappy so I need to adjust stuff still, but I’m so happy.
I need this in my life.
One of the fundamental lessons of riding motorcycles:
And expect more posts about it than Zoidberg’s Celica! :)
Sort of a recommendation for the bike-buying crowd.
Give me a break, it’s all I can afford... meaning free. Weather was good, so I finally got a chance to look over my new used bike; from what I can tell it definitely needs new tires and new inner tubes. The tire’s side walls are cracked, though I’m unsure if the tires are a special type of tire for the bike, or if any…
I went outside to wash the cars, but the weather was TOO nice so I hopped on the bike and poked around the right-of-ways behind my house. Still managed to wash one car. Anyone else ride (motor or not)/put the top down/put the windows down today?
Is not a good moment. BUT - I’d rather die of dehydration out here than of boredom in my office. Unfortunately, I have survived to make it back to the office and bother all of you with another post of my 0 HP vehicle.
I just got my dropper routed to an lovely Wolf Tooth dropper remote, gutted the hydraulic brakes of the shifters, and installed an actual 10 speed Zee shifter. Lovely.
Just pedal backwards. Wait, that was yesterday’s gearing system. Today, just keep pedaling backwards.
Because shifters are overrated.
The majority of production is now overseas save for high-end custom orders, but the factory legacy endures in the well-built products that are still out there. Words can’t explain how thankful I am to them, whoever and wherever they are, so here are some pictures that show it has been and continues to be used as…
I just got this bike, for free. It’s an older style of bike and I really like it; so I’m planning on fixing it up. It’s a Schwinn, but I’m not sure of the year. Has anyone ever see a bike like this before?
