Took these last weekend at a Cars & Coffee. What does Oppo think?
As I was cooking meatloaf the Friday before Cars and Coffee the power nearly went out 2 times. It was my first time cooking meatloaf so it was perfect timing for a thunderstorm. In the end the meatloaf came out great, and the storm dissipated shortly after. The wife was happy, I was happy... But what about cars and…
Went to the Charlotte C&C for the first time in a while, at the new site. It’s a pretty beat site with limited access, but there is plenty of room for cars, and even if there could be larger numbers of cars, the quality and variety is good. Too bad that Jordan, the Slowrunner, and Kona couldn’t make it.
I have dump for a very... “special” car later.
Photoset now live on flickr. (Yes that’s a minipig)
If there is one thing I
hate dislike it’s Texas weather. Especially when the weather gods overthrow the car gods twice in a row. Last month was outright cancelled, this month had an inkling of a sprinkling, so the show went on as scheduled.
I just met a 13 year-old boy who is very into cars. He needs opportunities beyond video games to engage with auto culture, and I want to guide him to visit a Cars and Coffee style meet. I need Oppo hivemind help.
I didn’t take a ton of pictures, I was talking so some interesting people a lot of the time. A lot of cars came, in two phases as well, so it was a lot to see. Three parking lots, I arrived at 7:30 and one lot was almost full, you can see my Z is far from the building where the Starbucks is. July/August is very big. I…
In no particular order, straight from the potatocam. I brought my DSLR, and the light was unpleasant and there were too many people for decent pictures. So here’s some quick iphone shots instead.
Photos were shot on a Nikon D3000 from the June Sarasota Cars and Coffee. More photos to follow soon!
I don’t feel like writing up a big thing about this morning’s C&C. It was good, I suppose. Here’s the pictures.
For a thing. But not a VW Thing. After the Jump
First time venturing out to this one. Attendance was a bit lower than the other regular C&C at Rosana Square but the cars themselves did not disappoint.
Took some time to explore the former gravel quarry after which the park is named. There’s still some original equipment lying around, such as rail car wheels and some processing machinery. Some of the remnants have been repurposed as picnic chairs and fire pits.
I didn’t get to go but apparently this guy did.
As anyone who has seen my articles before or my followers would know (all 6 of you, let’s change that guys), I try to get you guys cool car content in a way no one else can like a Minivan or a Piruses on a Formula 1 track (those articles coming soon, videos already up).
Small turnout today due to other shows in the “area”, but some neat stuff nonetheless.
There was no lack of awesome iron in the parking. And with weather that good it would be a total loss if it was. This month was horrible however. There was only one exit available to leave from and it jammed everything up. Usually I sneak in some rolling shots in the parking lot, but there was none of that this month.
