You haven’t watched Best Motoring International, or whatever other names it goes by. Basically its a Japanese car show hosted by a crop of extremely experienced Touge drivers.
(Been quite a while since my last post here. I plan on having my Tumblr account linked.)
In the sea of boring compacts they used to add a bit of style. We need more to make us forget about Corollas and Civics.
What are your thoughts so far on the new spy shots of the Supra? Looks like the headlights will follow the same shape as the previous gen along with a long drooping front nose.
Day 3 and 4 (August 10th and 11th) Akihabara by Day...:
When you’re dealing with a 14 hour time difference, you tend to wake up a little early. So early that Akihabara was closed. Did make for some cool shots, though, as we wound our way through the main streets and side streets, waiting for the town to wake up.
Greetings, Oppo! Welcome to Part 2 of the Dogapult Japan Trip
As a few of you may know, recently I hit the streets of Japan for some good old-fashioned tourism with a friend of mine. Going there for some cool car stuff, as well as some anime things as well.
If you read my posts, it’s apparent I love British cars. Actually, I like lots of older cars, and secretly like some motorcycles. I had a Triumph Bonneville 20 years ago. It was my first and only moto, and was quite a bit of bike for a novice. I managed to stay upright and not die, but sold it after about a year.…
Yes, that really is an Autozam AZ-1! I didn’t know what to expect from Japanese Day at the Larz Anderson Museum, but I was pleasantly surprised. The cars, for the most part, would inevitably be less expensive than their $100,000+ German Day counterparts. But would they be less interesting? Of course not! Sure, there…
A Jeremy Clarkson BBC special from 2000. The history of the Japanese automotive industry, Told by Clarkson.
JCVA had our second meet this weekend, in the rain. There were some really cool cars that showed, check it out.
This past week Super Car Sunday was rather mellow and after the Ferrari/Maserati marquee event the week before, that was just fine with me. Waking up early on a Sunday morning to go take pictures of a variety of cars sounds easy enough but when the parking lot is clogged with people and vehicles it gets real old, real…
Available from 2006-2009, the Subaru Legacy 2.5GT spec.B flew in rare air right from the start. Only 500 of the super sleeper were brought to the U.S. in it's first year, 432 in 2007 and so few between 2008-2009 that the internet doesn't even know how many!
I was looking at Stancenation's coverage of the Top Style meet, and between all the pictures of sweet VIP, Oni-cambered, Japanese beast there was suddenly a Donk.
I live in Karachi, Pakistan and recently bought a grey import JDM Nissan Wingroad (think of it as a Versa wagon). Problem is, the car's CARWINGS infotainment system is all in Japanese. I was wondering if anyone could help me navigate the menus and see if there is an english option somewhere. I'll start with the main…
you sulk and then shout at the clouds "it ain't fair, Lady!"
I wonder how many people got that joke...
think I just found the best laugh ever in a car video:
I bought a car.
Is JDM culture dead?
