This was not how I wanted this trip to start.
Pikes Peak was cool. More pics to come eventually.
This trip has been kinda stressful so far. That changes this weekend.
And unholy shit it’s quick. And beautiful. And advanced.
Here, have a six-motor car for 6 AM.
I really need an E30.
Just a handful of my favorite shots from the hillclimb. These were all taken on a crappy 18-55mm lens, so don’t expect anything too special. We were spectating at Cove Creek, at about 12,000 feet above sea level, *just* below the tree line.
And it was glorious. Somehow Hot Rod Magazine’s Viper crew ended up outside our shop with the Viper ACR they are taking up Pikes Peak.
Few bikes can grab my attention like the Ronin Motorworks 47, and their Pikes Peak race bike is possibly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. Why anyone would want to risk tossing this thing off a cliff is beyond me.

Some of the pictures and videos are blurry because they were taken with my phone and its camera has been acting weird the past few weeks. I watched from Cove Creek for those…
I watched this gem this morning.
This is a new feature we are running at Carwitter, we have amassed a ton of - what we think - are superb images since we started the site...nearly 10,000 already!
It's America's second oldest race and the fans turn out for it. Pikes Peak is a big draw. Here are some of the sights of downtown Colorado Springs.
When you reach 14,400 feet in altitude there isn't much air to breathe. It stands to reason EVs would do very well racing up America's Mountain. This year is no exception.
Rejoice, ye fans of mad motorsport! In just under two weeks the toughest hill climb in the country will once again kick off to determine who out there is the fastest of the rubber room fugitives, the quickest of the window-licking insane. Over 70 cars are registered to attempt the fastest time up the terrifying…
