I like this thing I saw at work.
I think I saw your most recent order on its way to you.
Hey look, here’s a thing I saw. Um, what is it?
Last weekend I returned from a lovely week’s vacation at a lake house in Northern California, by spending most of the day Saturday on the road with one dog that smelled like lake water and one that smelled more and more like skunk the farther we drove. But I made the drive home to Seattle in just under 12 hours…
Went to happy hour at the restaurant in a fancy hotel downtown a few weeks ago, and spotted this outside (and forgot until today that I had taken a picture):
You’ve seen the very best driveway in the neighborhood. Now it’s time for the silver medal, also documented with my trademark photography style: taken with a potato while being walked by some dogs.
Pretty sweet, except it’s so tall that there are an awful lot of places it would be hard to park. Still better than an RV though.
Please excuse my nighttime potato photography while being pulled the opposite direction by two dogs who had no patience for automotive photography.
Is it bad that I love this?
A 2016 Rolls Royce Wraith! It was goddamn enormous.
I was poking around in my photos and realized that I never posted a few gems from a trip to Italy last spring. I didn’t take a lot of pictures of cars—mostly lots of food and old buildings—but we did randomly encounter a vintage rally parked for a photo op at the San Biagio church outside Montepulciano, and I couldn’t…
4wd kei van! Definitely was not keeping up with traffic, although that may have had more to do with the clouds of smoke emerging from the windows than anything to do with the engine.
VW Expedition Mobile!
In honor of the “Biggest Ships In the World” AOTD, here’s an appropriate spot out my office window (well, not MY office, but a window in the office where I work...you know what I mean) from some days ago. No, there are not usually oil rigs off downtown Seattle.
Much like my previous spot, here’s a sweet mid-century imported sports car, also spotted in the garage at work. Spotted from afar, what could that be?
I’ve seen this NSX driving downtown once or twice before, but never parked...man what a great-looking car. Took a quick picture out my car window while pulling out of the parking garage, nowhere good to stop and get out.
Saw this air-cooled beaut parked in my usual parking spot at work today: a Porsche 356a 1600 Speedster!
Look at how big!
