Through our time racing in Forza 4 and now Forza 6, we’ve done an impressive number of racing series. We’ve raced sports cars, classic roadsters, Trans Am cars, and touring cars. One of the ideas that’s been thrown about many times has been V8 Supercars. Not too long ago, I proposed that we run it as a series. The…
A lot of us have talked about it during races and practice. So, let’s get the ball rolling with open discussion about a V8 Supercars series I’d like to host later this year. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Better late then never so Race 3 started out quite unexpectedly. Heavy rain started to fall minutes before the start of the race. Teams frantically had to go out onto the grid and swap in the wets. Some were caught out like Winterbottom and stayed on slicks for the warm up lap. He ended up pitting to put on wets.
Race 2 is why i love this racing series. It was another 125km/39 lap race and it was a nail biter to the end. See the track layout above. Turn 8 is amazing. They reach speeds up to 240 km/h (150 mph) where they tap the brake entering the turn. Then they get so close to the wall.
Damn Aussies/Kiwis... Back at it again with the V8's!!!. Yes everyone they’re back for 2016. Some changes for 2016:
Bathurst seems to have arrived quietly on Oppo this year.
Okay, the main 1000km event doesn’t actually start for another 14 hours, but there has been two days of practice, qualifying and support races each with their own fair share of action.
Enduro Season. If you utter this phrase to most motorsport fans, they’ll have no idea what you’re talking about. However, say it in the presence of the devout V8 Supercars fans, and their ears will perk up.
Jack Perkins will sub for the injured James Courtney for the remainder of this weekend’s round at Sydney Motosports Park following a freak accident which caused two fractured ribs and a fractured pneumothorax on the driver of car #22.
After four incredibly dull Saturday races which saw a grand total of two passes inside the top five after the opening lap(and zero changes inside the top two), V8 Supercars upper management has confirmed they are looking at tweaking the formula, with a change to made possibly in time for the next round in Winton, in…
Will Davison plays his cards right and wins race 9 of the 2015 International V8 Supercars championship series. It was followed by a whole buncha skids and donuts in glorious super slo-mo, which I’ll need to find a .gif of soon.
Don't know if it's been posted yet.
Marcos Ambrose will be driving the Xbox Ford Falcon this year. I always liked him in NASCAR so I can't wait to see what he does in his actual element.
The V8 Supercars season starts this weekend with a two day test at Sydney Motorsports Park, formerly known as Eastern Creek. This year's test will feature a shootout on the final day which will give each team a chance to strut their stuff. "What's the point of having a top ten-esque shootout in a test," you might…
The 2015 V8 Supercars season is about to start with this weekends V8 Supercars Supertest in Sydney.
Rick and Todd Kelly are Australian V8 Supercar racing teammates, and they have very, very cool lives.
Fell asleep last night and missed the finish. Found the last 2 laps on youtube and I swear this race never disappoints! Here they are if you want to watch.
