Living in Virginia presents one of the most frustrating problems to an automotive enthusiast— some of the greatest roads in the nation (Blueridge parkway, Skyline Drive, almost the whole Western half of the state for that matter) coupled with the most agressive anti-speeding police force in the nation.
I could ramble on with some narration here, but I’ll refrain. There were MANY nice cars out on Saturday, I loved seeing them! The Volvo wagon wasn’t in the show, but definitely worth including.
There’s nothing I hate more than waking up early on a Saturday. Yet, somehow I found myself – slightly hungover – driving toward Great Falls, Virginia just as the sun was rising.
Happy Easter! I promise my next posting will NOT be car related. I have several sets of pictures in the pipeline that simply cannot be posted yet.
Just a Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 by a coastal artillery battery in Fort Monroe, Virginia.
Anything at all. What's the most Virginia way to get around?
That is all.
This weekend I got to Katie's pretty late; later than I've ever arrived, at quarter to 8. Thanks to a debilitating migraine soon afterwards, I am also posting this week's photos later than usual. Also, apparently Dry Socket in car guy speak is "Dry Rot." ;-)
What a strange weekend. First there were the Camelopardalids, which was kinda a bust, although I did catch a few meteors, and even more satellites. Then it was a last minute decision to attend this weekend's Cars and Coffee at Katie's Coffee House.
This weekend I did something a little different. After spending about an hour at Katie's, I headed over to Bethesda's Cars 'N' Coffee to check it out, since I heard there would be some fellow Jalops meeting up there.
A lovely, pre-Easter day at Katie's! Last weekend I was unfortunately unable to attend, due to four consecutive photoshoots - what an insane weekend! It was nice to just relax and spot some cars today. There was an amazing turnout, with the weather finally warmed back up for good.
It's been several months since I've visited Katie's, and this seemed like a great weekend to visit for the first time in 2014. Things got started off slowly, but more gearheads rode in as the weather slowly grew warmer.
I debated not going to Katie's this morning since the turnout has dwindled due to the cold weather, however I knew Volkswagen HQ had both a Veyron and an XL1 on hand this week. I decided to come on the chance an XL1 did appear, despite my being told that it almost certainly would not come. Much to my delight, VW…
It's been a few weeks since I've been to Katie's; last weekend I shot an awesome wedding. This weekend brought in a cold front, which, predictably, kept some folks from coming out. While eating breakfast inside Katie's you could overhear conversations; "Ive put the Ferrari away for the Winter, so I just brought the…
I've been very busy the past few months, and haven't been able to make it out to Katie's lately. I've had several meets waiting on the back burner until I could finish some client shoots. Here are four separate car meets, all in the Northern Virginia area:
Since this will be my first post on Oppo, allow me to introduce myself! I am Harris Lue, 21 year old Graphic Design Student at East Carolina University with a huge passion for all things car, and I work for my best friend Kenny Forbes' race team designing his cars and all promotional materials.
Working at the local cars and coffee every weekend can really dilute your excitement for seeing exotic cars. Jaded would be the right term here. Luckily, we have another kind of animal to keep people entertained, that is, real animals. And lucky for you, I obsessively take pictures.
