I finally bit the bullet and went to a shop to get my tires i bought a while back balanced. 30 bucks later, i was ready to jack up my car and do some work! I also decided to put on the painted oem side skirts to replace the boring, plastic black ones. Lo and behold the finished product...

Here is a before:

SOoo much better looking, i think. I love the type sh wheels over the blades.

Also, if anyone has sideskirts, that are somewhat easy to remove, I recommend taking them off and cleaning the area underneath. I suspect this is one of the big places hondas and lots of other vehicles begin their slow and rusty death...

After taking off the original sideskirt i had a bit of cleaning to do:

After probably an hour or more of cleaning, and then adding a nice juicy layer of wax, i was finally happy. There was also probably about 2 lbs of rocks/mud/worms in the sideskirts i took off. Sooo gross. all 13 years of grime...

No one will ever see any of that again, but i rest easy knowing rust wont easily start there anymore. And that its minty clean.

Finished product.

also you can spot the rx7 in the reflection...

But all in a days work. Very pleasing results and rather enjoyable since you cant beat an OEM fitment. Its a joy.
