1934 Ford Pickup project update. (Pic heavy)

I noticed I had not posted an update on the current project in the garage since dragging it home in July, so here is a project update on my grandfather and I’s latest project - A all steel 34 Ford pickup. We have decided on a true traditional show rod. The set year we decided on was a truck built around 57/58 with as little as deviation as possible. We are retaining the 56 265 small block chevy and manual 3 speed trans that came with the pickup as well as the 49-50 ford rear end. We scored a 57 corvette dual four intake and secondary carb (hardest to find) and picked up a primary at the last swap meet we hit. The motor is pretty much ready to drop in. We have pulled the cab and bed off the frame and discovered that the frame was pretty bad is a few areas. We found a super nice set of original frame rails and now in the process of putting the center section of the original frame to the new rails.

On the body work side, my grandpa has been doing all the paint stripping while im at work and has gotten a good chunk of the cab stripped. During the process we have found the original black paint under the terrible white and then under the black paint all the original lead still in the seams. The current timeline is looking like we will be ready to paint the frame and begin chassis reassembly by late spring 2017. I will try and not go as long without posting project updates.
