I just watched a repeat of Wheeler Dealers on the Fiat Dino Coupe. I was really fascinated by seeing this car and wondered if I'd find any on E-Bay and sure enough I did. This one has the original 2.0 Liter DOHC V6 65° (aluminium block) Dino engine built by Fiat workers in Turin and used in this car and the Dino. So, it was a Fiat engine if we're honest though it is marked as being a Dino on the engine itself.
The drawback to this model year is it has a less sophisticated suspension than the 2.4 Liter coupe. It uses a single leaf spring on a live axle. According to Wikipedia later models employed a "sophisticated coil-sprung independent rear suspension setup derived from the FIAT 130".
The car has been parked outside, in Florida, for about 8 years. It's rough. Allow me to quote the eBay listing for you: "BEEN SITTING FOR 8 YEARS AND HAS TAKEN SOME ABUSE FROM THE FLORIDA SUN." This doesn't exactly exude confidence in bringing it back to its former glory. The Dino Coupe Mike Brewer found is below and was in excellent shape with the exception of a few dents.
Take a look at the engine (pictures below). Where is Edd China when you need him?
