Here are some of the pictures I took on our last day in Montreal.

As it was time to take the car out of the garage, we decided to spend the day around Mount Royal, from which Montreal takes its name (Mont + Real).

Mount Royal Chalet and its viewing platform is of course a must-visit while there.

A hike from there gets you to the Mount Royal Cross:

The back side of the hill is occupied by the Mount Royal Cemetery:

Halfway up the slope is the Saint Joseph’s Oratory, the largest church in Canada:

Late that afternoon, we arrived at Montreal-Trudeau International Airport to see my parents off on their way back to Vancouver:
