I dropped the Prelude off for inspection on New Year’s Eve. I wasn’t in a rush to get it back since I don’t drive it much this time of year, just enough to keep things fresh. A week later the shop called and said they’d gotten around to it, and that there was a hole in my header and that the crank pulley had broken in half and taken both belts with it. I had a spare H22 header lying around from Vibrant Performance, but it was for Civics with H-swaps and needs quite a bit of fabrication work to fit a Prelude or Accord. I also ordered a new crank pulley from Honda, which took another week to get here. I guess this is the motivation for me to finally resume the build.
