While the Model Master paint finished smooth and nice with the lightest of coats, getting full coverage over the entire body was nigh impossible. I tried again with paint I’m more comfortable with and I got even better coverage but more orange peel. This new color is Gloss Ivory.
This is the paint I used this time around. Much easier for me to use than the model paint. I reckon this should be even more durable too.
Once this fully cures in a day or two, I should be able to either wetsand or polish this to a smoother shine, apply a light coat of gloss clear over this, or maybe just leave it alone. I wonder how orange peel is dealt with on model and diecast cars?
