The 2014 Jeep Cherokee is a race car. Everything about the Jeep makes you think that it's a race car...well maybe not so much from the outside. But the interior will definitely make you think so.
I'm normally not a big fan of SUVs, but this one I really liked. I rarely ever see these around and probably for good reason. I think the average mpg is 10 miles to the gallon?
But hey, what do you expect for a 470 hp Jeep?
This Jeep is so loaded with features that I don't even know where to begin. Here's just a few - heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel (that's a first for me to come across), reclinable rear seats, a media center with everything you can think of, various kinds of ride modes...and the list goes on and on.
I'm not sure if I'd ever expect this. A launch control button in the Jeep.
You can even see your 0-60 times, quarter mile times, braking distance...really? Braking distance for a large SUV? Can you imagine this thing around a track? Must look ridiculous.
The time below was with 2 people in the car - so I'm sure with just the driver, the 0-60 time is even faster. A super comfy 4-door SUV that is also ridiculously fast. Need to town your boat and race car-like performance all in the same vehicle? Look no further.
The media center has little tricks of its own. In case you want to be reminded of what you're driving, there's an image of your Jeep and you can customize the color, wheels etc.
I like how there's a "G-Force" option...but I don't think you should try to test this though. Wouldn't it be easy to flip the thing over?
The quality of the interior is great - American cars have really stepped it up lately and this Jeep is no different. The panoramic sunroof gives the car an open feel inside. There is just so much luxury in this vehicle I could hardly believe it.
The all-wheel-drive, great delivery of power and the launch control work perfectly....almost no wheel spin. Check out the video below.
So....if you're in the market for a family vehicle that can tow large things and you also want a race car (or race SUV), this Jeep should fit the bill. Just make sure you're ok with going to the gas station every other day.
