Jalopnik keeps posting about Paul Walker, but doesn't give a proper write up to Roger Rodas. Walker got into the real racing scene with Rodas later on; co-owning Rodas race team. He also did a lot of charitable things for the communities, but his acting career is what gives him more recognition than the driver.
Roger Rodas was a driver in the Pirelli World Challenge. He made it there by winning and notching his way up through the Porche-only series of Pirelli's Driver Cup. He probably would have made rookie of the year, but he missed a few races. He also raced with Walker at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. Outside of the track Rodas helped Walker create the foundation 'Reach Out World Wide' which would help disaster victims.
I'm sad that both of these individuals lost their lives. My condolences to their friends and families. Rest easy my fellow Jalop.
