A couple of years ago the fuel pump quit while on the highway. Had it towed home and it has sat there ever since. Well, last month I happened to search ebay for a cheap replacement pump and found one, brand new, for approximately $15 USD plus another $10 for shipping. Compared to the many hundreds of dollars every one else wanted for a pump, $25 seemed too cheap to be real. I ordered it anyway though, and sure enough a couple of weeks later a brand new made in China fuel pump arrived at my door.
Took a few minutes to install it earlier today. After an hour or so charging the battery, and $7 worth of fresh fuel to offset the little bit of old stuff still in there she fired right up once the lines primed. Got her up to temp, and it runs as smoothly and quietly as it did when new.
Now to tackle the hundred other issues.
