The comments on the "road rage" article got me thinking. Do that many people really fly off the handle when someone flips them the bird? I'm kind of surprised. People are sharing these stories of being followed, tailgated, rammed, punched, kicked, even threatened with knives and guns, all for giving someone the finger. I mean, it's just a gesture, for crying out loud. If someone flips me the bird, I'm really not likely to do anything, except maybe flip the bird right back or stick out my tongue. Seriously, what is it about a simple gesture that makes people fly into a violent rage? I just do not get it, at all.
