next step: drain the hydraulic system and take all that stuff off... well technically it doesn’t have to be completely drained, but all the fluid that’s not in the transmission reservoir has to come out. Also need to pull the crank pulley

The injection pump and fuel lines also have to come off, since it’s driven by the timing gear, and i’m replacing the timing cover gasket. Oh yeah, and the power steering, which is a separate sub-hydraulic system.

also, it might just be time for a new water pump...
