In a recent press & customer track day at the awesome Philip Island Raceway in Victoria, Australia a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster caught fire, with flames visible from the cabin. A number of fire extinguishers were needed to put out the Burning Bull.

Lamborghini's head south-east Asia and Pacific, Sebastien Henry then asked all media in attendance not to report the embarrassing and expensive failure, claiming it was caused by "the vehicle's extended track use in a high-temperature environment". At the time the 'high temp environment' was a whopping 14 degrees C (or 58 F).
