Figured you guys would like to know this.

So I decided to look up some numbers on Top Fuel Dragsters, in response to the recent 5,000HP car I posted a bit ago.

Apparently, top fuel dragsters reach 8,000-10,000HP with ~6000lb*ft of torque. All in the layout of the old push-rod 426 Chrysler Hemi from '64-'71. While it is vastly different than those engines in many ways, that's still insane to think about.

So there ya go, apparently a V8 hemi is able to produce those batshit crazy numbers, and in a 500lb package, nonetheless! Holy shit.

Yes, yes, I'm sure some of you knew this. But for those who didn't realize those engines were quite that insane, now you do!
