Bike Day! Also Other Workshop Things

I am HELLA excited about my new bike arriving today! I spent some time setting up my workshop for bike assembly. As some of you are aware, I have a very small “shop” in my basement with a really neat workbench. I am constantly organizing and re-organizing because I am a nut job. It has been a while since I’ve posted about it, so allow me to take this opportunity to waste your time with a few pictures.

All of the lights and screens are now smart/voice controlled. I’m getting ready to put a new screen in the big workbench. The LCD I’m currently using I tore out of an older laptop so the viewing angle is shit. I have to be standing directly in front of it to see it clearly. The eventual plan is to sink a touch based panel into the surface of the work bench. The small workbench with the bike tools on it is now on casters, which has proven super useful. I’ve finally ditched all of my NiCad batteries and got an adapter to use the Li ones with the older tools. I used a home depot gift card and a kidney to get that 4 pack.

Doubt I’ll need those wrenches, but the workbench looked like it needed more. I’m planning to switch out the included derailleur and shifter before I even try them.

A little bit holder for my most commonly used ones. I’m not sure yet how I plan to finish it or where I’m going to mount it.

A little stool I threw together for my little girl so she can reach everything in her kitchen and climb inside her toybox. Using a router is so satisfying.

I was going to practice “joining” wood for this little project, but I got impatient.
