I joke though. Just disassembled the block. I bought an entire NA8 engine for 150 clams. The previous owner told me it was making a light rod knock/mechanical noise at light rpm. Looking at the bearings I can believe that. Between the bearing wear, remote oil filter kit, and return line bung in the oil pan drain plug, he definitely had it turbo’d. The bores are in good shape and its all going to a machine shop anyway. I only want it for the oil pan, block, crankshaft, and maybe rods. I may splurge for lighter forged bits. Also Troegs Perpetual is good, I think its still the #1 IPA in PA.
