EDIT: looks like napa had a proper brass replacement fitting with a nipple for a traditional flare. Its a very unusual size, I didnt expect them to have one. Just another reason to patronize their store.
Little help with an issue? Some oddness with the vacuum for my brake booster
There is a port in the back of my carb for this little brass piece above. There is a hardline that goes back to this vacuum .... Check valve? On my brake booster. Not sure why it is designed like this, or even if any of this is original. The issue I am having is that the fitting for the line does not allow the line to fully seat in the brass adapter. The hardline still has about 1/8th of an inch of travel before it seats fully. Also, it appears as if the threads on the hardline do not match the brass adapter, like it has been cross threaded or fine vs course pitch but I cant really tell by looking.
Any insight would be marvelous
