Not only was everything nicely cut away and polished up, but the parts were animated—moving pistons and valvetrains! On top of that, the colored LEDs changed to indicate different parts of the engine cycle, including a whit LED built in to the spark plugs that flashed at ignition. It was very impressive.  Compare that to the cutaways over in GM-land, which had no moving parts and everything, EVERY SINGLE PART, was painted with the same glossy silver paint—pistons, conrods, turbine vanes, all of it.
