So I took the advice from last night, and I bought it. Its VIN states it's a 1970 302 2-barrel fasback. Four grand less out of my pocket, but comes with two engines [ '85 302 and a never-used 429 stroker motor], an AOD automatic mated to the 302, bunch of extra parts [an unabused dashpad, new hood, new fuel tank, decent shape louvers, unopened trim pieces, etc], and a clean title. I'll have to un-racecar it a little bit to drive it practically, but I'm excited.
