My daughter graduates tomorrow and she asked for a German chocolate cake. So I baked her one.
A good cake is like an ogre, it has layers. The only problem is flattening each layer consistently. That’s when a cake slicer comes in handy. Think cheese slicer but much bigger.
I forgot take a picture in-progress, so the final product will have to do.
The lid was a perfect fit.
What to do with the cake top? Cake balls, of course! My daughter made the cake balls.
Graduation will be a walk through campus with appropriate separation. We aren’t even allowed to get out of the car until we’re called. Diplomas will be waiting on a table. I’m not complaining, at least she gets a ceremony of some sort!
We’re looking forward to a celebration tomorrow. Congratulations to all the 2020 graduates!
