Back in October, I posted about making eggplant parmesan. Well tonight, I figured I would share with you all how I make Lasagna.

The first step is to gather your ingredients. Using the following recipes:

I like to use as many different brands of crushed tomatoes, I feel like it adds more flavor that way. Once all your ingredients are assembled, the first step is to get the sausages in some water.

While those cook, you might as well press all the garlic you need.

Once you’ve got plenty of mashed garlic, it’s time to get the gravy started.

As soon as the water with the sausages gets cloudy, set a time for around 13 minutes. Just make sure that the water doesn’t boil.

While you’ve got both your gravy and sausages cooking, start assembling the meat balls.

Don’t cry over spilled milk.

I don’t always use all the milk, I add it in until it feels right.

After the sausages are done, take them out and put them aside for later.

Since you timed it like that, back to making the meat balls.

Once they’re all made, put them in the pan to brown them. There is no need to fully cook them as the go in the gravy and will fully cook in there.

Once all of your meat is cooked, add it to the gravy.

While that cooks for the requisite 3.5 hours, you might as well clean up and knock out some dishes.

Just make sure to stir every 10-15 minutes, or so.

When the gravy gets close to being done, put boil a pot of water and add the lasagna noodles.

Don’t worry, I made the noodles fit.

While those cook, prepare the rest of the ingredients.

Once the gravy is ready, take all the meat out.

After everything is done cooking, get ready to assemble the lasagna.

Spray the bottom with Pam, the layer it with noodles, then ricotta, then gravy then mozzarella, then repeat.

Once you fill the pan, top with gravy.

Once it’s ready, cover it with foil and throw it in the oven for around 45 minutes at 350˚F.

While it’s in the oven, might as well put away the extra meat.

As well as clean up, of course.

Once it’s cooked, take it out of the oven. Cut yourself a piece and serve.
