Craigslist Flipping?

My friend brought this up today. What he has done for the past two summers has gained him a rather large net product. He goes to estate/garage sales, buys $50 worth of stuff, and somehow sells it for 100-200% profit on Craigslist. He flips board games, books, silverware/china, and various other trinkets and collectibles.

Is this possible? It seems too good to be true, so I wanted to get your opinions on it. What items would you think are best for this kind of profit-making? In other words, I want money. This seems like a relatively hassle-free (if you get lucky with the items you sell) way to make some cash.

Here’s an interesting Honda Civic I saw yesterday. Wonderful times we live in, eh?
