Most americans will probably be mad at me for calling this a chili, but it's one of my favourite dishes if I'm honest.. so here's the stuff you need.

  • 2 pounds minced beef, browned and drained
  • 2 cans kidney beans, canned, drained
  • 2 cans whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
  • 1 ounce of dark chocolate (chopped)
  • 8 tablespoons dried and crushed chili (I prefer chipotles, habaneros and piri piris)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons coriander
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 carrot, coarsley chopped
  • 2 large onions, coarsely chopped
  • Fresh chilies (to taste, use whatever you like)
  • 7 ounces black olives (pitted and drained)
  • 1/2 cup beef stock
  • (optional) 1/2 teaspoon Dave's ultimate insanity sauce
  • Edit: forgot 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon (thanks Skyfire77 for reminding me).

Throw it all in a crock pot, let simmer for 8-10 hours, serve with mashed potatoes and sour cream.
