Today I visited the Albarellos Dam. Nothing remarkable really compared to other dams, but remarkable enough it makes me want to study civil engineering rather than mechanical engineering.
This thing was built in 1971, it’s 200m across and 90m tall. I love it; so imposing and powerful. On one side a messy drain, on the other a calm lake.
What I really want to do is build something on the far end. A museum, a house, something. It’s befitting. However, I doubt this would be doable since the far end houses the emergency drain, which in reality isn’t that large. but accommodations could be made for my crazy dream.
