"Domestic, not domesticated"

I know it’s irrational, but it kills me that this slogan is a lie. It’s as if GM decided to build the Corvette in China; although Canada is more American than China, the Challenger’s appeal is more irrationally rooted in some American mystique than the Corvette’s. I like these cars more and more as they age and stand out from other offerings, but I can’t deny that a some of their appeal is based on false pretense. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
