Although I had the mandatory suburbanite pickup truck when I bought my house, I no longer need one. I insist.

After the first few years of sorting out the landscaping outside and furnishings inside, the truck was no longer getting much use as a truck. I probably kept it too long. Then the Prius served as a good truck substitute, but now . . .


Now I have a car that can haul ass and also haul at least six bales of pine needle mulch! And before that hauled a load of old paint and lumber to the recycling center, and a load of donations to Goodwill, including a bookshelf. (Fall cleaning.)

Of course, I wouldn’t have spent ten minutes vacuuming out the truck . . .
