Narcos is a Netflix docuseries, or rather docudramaseries, detailing the lives of Colombia’s drug lords.  The primary focal point through the first two seasons is Pablo Escobar and his ascension to infamous notoriety through the 1980's and early 1990's.

The thing I love most about Narcos is, as you might expect, is the cars. Sources vary on the exact percentage of paved versus unpaved, but Colombia’s mountainous topography is covered with unpaved roads. In this instance, necessity dictates rugged, reliable 4x4's for coppers and criminals alike.

The popularity of Land Cruisers among the Narcos leads one to believe that these vehicles are intended for the well heeled Colombians of the era. The Colombian Federal Police tend to use a mix of Nissan, Toyota, and Mitsubishi.

What I wouldn’t give to import a former Colombian Police Patrol with the white and green livery still intact.

If you haven’t yet, give this show a look.
