Some of yall are probably already replacing wheel hubs after each weekend/trackday if you’re on good sized sticky compounds (275 mm+).

UMI just had a bearing failure on theirs this past weekend, and it could have been any of us. They got lucky and didn’t hurt themselves, the car or collect anybody else in their off.

This isn’t the first time many of us have seen a hub failure, there’s others. Keep it safe, look into the alternatives outside of just MOOG or whatever. Their bearings and castings just aren’t up to snuff. SKF and Hoosier Performance Engineering seem to be the best options.

It’s not cheap, but neither is replacing a wheel, exhaust, brake rotor, fender, pants, etc when that hub fails.

One on BFG Rival S, the other on Hoosiers.
